350PDX Social Media

Graphic Design, Illustration, Digital Marketing Strategy

350PDX is a local climate justice nonprofit seeking to address the climate crisis through justice-based solutions.

I spent a couple years doing volunteer work with their Forest Defense and Movement-Building teams, and I also had a standing freelance design relationship with them. This page showcases some social media I created, both for the organization as a whole and for a specific Forest Defense campaign I was also actively involved with as a volunteer.

My favorite design is done for efforts that I believe deeply in and am involved with on a personal basis, and I am proud to have worked with 350PDX in a creative capacity.

This campaign aimed to get a climate-friendly slate of nominees approved to the Oregon Board of Forestry in March 2021. We strategized seven social media posts, all information-driven carousels ending in a CTA, aimed at different audiences with varied understandings of the importance of forest carbon sequestration.

I designed the posts with a unified look and feel to cultivate an awareness of a central campaign no matter where the posts were shared. Above is a sampling of screens from all the posts; below are the six carousel screens for a single post, in order.

I also created a few one-off posts for the organization to support various events as they arose. This is a post announcing a new series of trainings that 350PDX launched in 2020.
